The Quidway® AR18-1X router provides abundant, flexible interfaces, including Ethernet interface, multi-protocol synchronous/asynchronous serial interface, AUX interface, ISDN BRI S/T and U interfaces, cT1/PRI interface, and E1-F interface.
Synchronous/asynchronous serial interfaces support multiple protocols, such as V.24 DTE/DCE, V.35 DTE/DCE, X.21 DTE/DCE, RS449 DTE/DCE, and RS 530 DTE. You only need to choose the relevant cable to meet the requirements for diversification of serial interfaces. You can flexibly select a networking scheme based on multiple WAN technologies, such as PSTN/ISDN, Frame Relay, X.25, Digital Data Network (DDN), and T1/E1 line.

Network Security: The Quidway® AR 18-1X router provides rich network security features, such as firewall, packet filtering, address translation, AAA, Callback. You can select different security policies to build enterprise networks.
Building VPN Networks: Intranet Virtual Private Network (VPN), as an extension and substitution of traditional dedicated line networks or other enterprise networks, can connect to various branches of the enterprise through a public network. Access VPN can build a secure channel to access resources of the corporate headquarters for small users such as SOHO through PSTN/ISDN. Extranet VPN can extend the enterprise network to partners and customers to make different enterprises able to perform secure and private communications. The Quidway® AR 18-1X router is mainly used for the access end of VPN. Dial Control Center (DCC):
The Quidway® AR 18-1X router provides users with perfect dial-in solutions, supports standard DCC and flexible DCC dial modes. In addition, it supports multiple link layer protocols (PPP) and multiple network layer protocols (IP and IPX), and provides capabilities of running multiple dynamic routing protocols on the dial interface. All these advantages can satisfy the needs for various network topologies. The function of flexible DCC is more perfect. It can enable multiple dial-in users to share the physical interface through Dialer Pool to implement different call functions.
Reliability: The Quidway® AR 18-1X router adopts the backup center technology, thus greatly improving network reliability. It can utilize synchronous, asynchronous, CT1/ PRI, and ISDN BRI interface features to implement backup of various lines, thus meeting the requirements for high reliability.
2B+D Data Transmission: The AR 18-13/18-15/18-31/18-34 routers are embedded with Terminal Adapter (TA) functions and respectively provide ISDN BRI S/T interface and U interface, thus implementing 2B+D data transmission.
TI/E1 Dedicated Line and PRI Dial-in Service: The AR 18-16/18-18 routers provide CT1/PRI interface and E1-F interface, respectively. A CT1/PRI interface can be bound into either channel-group to flexibly provide Nx 64k or 56kbps data bandwidth, or pri-group to provide dial-in service for remote users. An E1-F interface only supports CE1 binding and not provides PRI dial-in service. Structure Appearance: It adopts a plastic chassis that can shield electromagnetic radiation, with streamlined appearance and small dimensions. In addition, it can effectively shield various electromagnetic interferences and operate stably and reliably.
